Hey y'all! Since I recently got married and have reversed roles in helping my bestie with her upcoming special day, I figured I would share some bridal fashion and some tips I used for finding the best deals on some white attire! If you're like me, "all white" isn't exactly "my color", so as soon as wedding events started creeping up, I found myself needing to add white to my closet color palette. Here a few quick tips that helped me find the best deals! Quick Tips:
SUMMER SALES If your wedding date and time frame allows for it, white becomes the "in color" around March. It is a popular look for Easter and spring as well May graduations. With this being said, Summer is a great time to find all of the white ensembles for great prices - especially dresses! I got married in December and we had a rather long engagement, so shopping the Summer sales was a great chance to stock up on shower dresses! A few places to shop Summer sales for white attire are: OUTSIDE THE BOX For years it has always been standard for the bride to dress in white throughout her engagement for any wedding related event. This is simply because guests often know that the solid color white or ivory is reserved for the bride-to-be and allows for her to standout in the crowd and in pictures, but all white is not the only way to stand out as the bride. These days there are so many ways to establish you are the bride such as sashes, corsages, floral pins, and even hair accessories, so if you want to rock that floral or tiffany blue dress, go for it! I promise you will not go unnoticed as the bride just because you didn't stick to standard. Besides, it can be fun to be outside the box sometimes! Here are some examples of out of the box bridal attire and you can shop some of these looks HERE: HONEYMOON CRUNCH TIME As soon as I knew where we were going for our honeymoon, I began shopping all the sales I could! I knew I wanted a few white swimmies as well as some cute coverups. I needed some nicer dinner outfits, too! My sisters gave me the cutest honeymoon gifts set with monogram interchangeable sandals! They were the perfect shoe to pack because they didn't take up a lot of packing room! Unfortunately, the exact pair have been discontinued, but these are the same "idea" of getting several different looks and more room to pack! Again, if going somewhere tropical, try to hit up those summer sales and if you're going somewhere a little chillier, hit up the end of winter sales! Here a few places I shopped for Honeymoon attire:
DOUBLE-DIP IT, GIRL Don't be afraid to double-dip some outfits! Chances are your new hubby hasn't seen you in any of your shower dresses or bachelorette outfits, not in person at least. This creates the perfect opportunity to wear some of those favorite outfits again and for your new hubby - Especially if your bachelorette and honeymoon are similar environments. Luckily for me, both were at the beach so I was able to get double the wear out of a lot of my swimmies, coverups, and outfits! You can always mix and match accessories to create a whole new look and no one will ever know! In the shortest and quickest way possible, these are my main key tips to bridal fashion leading up to the big day! Whether you're a bride yourself or a part a special person's festivities, I'm glad you're here and I hope you found some of my personal experience tips helpful and helped make the fashion side of things a little less stressful! Check out these fun accessories below: xoxo, Kass
